Our purpose is to provide a safe, casual, and enjoyable environment for people of the LGBTQ+ and ally community to build meaningful connections with each other. The group was established in February 2017. We gather at a variety of venues for our Meetups in the Niagara Region, with an emphasis on meeting in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, Ontario. Everyone is welcome.
Please note: We take the well-being of our members very seriously, and strive to provide a positive experience for everyone involved with our group. It is our policy to have zero tolerance for hate in our group. We will remove and/or ban any member of the group that is suspected of engaging in hateful behaviour toward other members. This includes bullying, gossiping, and other negative hate-based attacking of our members online e.g. social media.
We are a small, active group of approximately 50 members. We review our member list monthly and it is our policy to remove members who do not attend one of our meetups within a 3-month period. This allows space for new members to join and actually attend our meetups.
We are always open to new ideas for activities the group can be involved in and welcome members to help organize events.
We're social! Please share our group with others who may be interested in joining us: www.meetup.com/lgbtqsgniagara or on Facebook & Instagram: @lgbtqsgniagara
