Hello everyone,

This month we're hosted by Pitch (https://pitch.com)

• Flow in your life (Saskia Lindner)

This talk will not be about the technical aspects of coding. I want to share my experience about going from blockage to a state of flow and how this translates to my working life as a developer. My wish is to rethink how we work together and interact with each other. Our potential to create something meaningful when combining our different skills and experiences is huge, let's collaborate!

Saskia is a Clojure Developer based in Berlin.

• How to improve your design in 5 minutes (Jelle Akkerman)

So you’re working on your small side project, say a great reagent UI, which you’re about to show to the world. Awesome, but how to make it look a bit prettier, more professional and more usable? Life is too short to use ugly software. Some practical tips!

Jelle (https://twitter.com/jellea) is a Clojure developer and designer working at Pitch. He loves to hack everything user interfaces, ranging from digital products to physical music instruments. His favourite Clojure macro is -> and he likes geometric typefaces.

• Practical Probabilistic Programming (Christian Weilbach)

Probabilistic Programming is a way to popularize statistical concepts
through the extension of programming languages. It is getting more and
more popular in the statistics community recently. But how practical is
it for everyday programming? We will go through some examples and then have a brief discussion of what is desired and how Anglican can be made more practical for everyday programming tasks.

Christian (twitter.com/wh1lo, github.com/whilo) is a Clojure programmer
since 2012 and is in love with its value semantics and focus on
interactivity. He has done a masters degree in machine learning on
computer vision problems and will pursue a PhD working on the
probabilistic programming, including Anglican. In his spare time he has
worked on the distributed database system replikativ.

Clojure Berlin adheres to the Berlin Code of Conduct (http://berlincodeofconduct.org/de/).
