Talk description
About a year ago I started on a project I had been thinking about for a while: a web app that lets you save, share, and discover quotations [http://sayitagain.me]. So kind of like Pinterest, but about words, not as much images. I build and maintain this project completely in my spare time. This talk details how I went about building it from scratch in Django. It includes what I discovered as best practices, wrong turns along the way, and some philosophical musings.
About Chris
I'm a software engineer, contributor to various open source projects including Django, and am Application Architect at Venmo. I'm currently leading a major rewrite of our core platform.
