DEMOCRATIC EVENTS IN AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER (NOT PROTESTS THIS TIME)

Hello All

I have information on a couple of upcoming fundraising events for the Tarrant County Democratic Party.

The Office Rent Party is a monthly event, on the fourth Friday each month. This month it is on August 29 and the theme is Back to School.
If you become a sustaining member (regular monthly donation) you will not need to donate at the door every time you attend. You don't need to RSVP here just come on over and join our fun. (we had so much fun at the July event that we had to kick people out!)

This is a chance to support the party, make new Democratic Friends and see our really nice headquarters. (and maybe meet some candidates or elected officials)

The other event is the Third Annual Opal Lee Empowerment Luncheon on September 13 .

There will also be a Silent Auction. We have some great donations!!

Dr Lee has had recent health issues, but plans to be there if she is able. Our guest speaker is Tarrant County Commissioner Alissa Stevens. She will have lots to share with us, particularly regarding the recent Commissioners Court redistricting and the reduction in Early Voting locations for the November 5 Elections. A number of candidates and elected officials will attend as well, so this an opportunity to meet a few.
