It features interviews with religious leaders, historians, investigative journalists, state senators, political activists, sociologists, and a former high-ranking member of the Trump administration and traces the roots of Christian Nationalism to Paul Weyrich, a Republican strategist who used racism to build the religious right. The film argues that Christian Nationalism poses a threat to American democracy by promoting an authoritarian agenda.
