Love Trumps Hate

On October 18, No Kings Day, Rep. Andrew Ireland (HD 90) and his followers thought they could get away with mocking an elderly and disabled constituent for bravely protesting by herself.

They thought wrong! The community jumped to defend the woman cruelly targeted by her own elected official. News of Ireland’s actions spread across the state, then the country, resulting in tens of thousands of interactions on social media demanding accountability from him and celebrating her courage, and inspiring a movement we’re calling Love Trumps Hate. The goal of this movement is to empower others to come together in love, solidarity, and service to each other.

Join us on Wednesday, November 5 at 5:30 pm at Franklin Township Civic League for our first Love Trumps Hate event to connect with fellow community members and serve our community.

This event will benefit Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance and the Midwest Immigration Bond Fund. Donations for these organizations will be gratefully accepted at the event.
