March 2026 Social Diner

Our next social is Friday, March 13th at 7 PM. This will be the first for the year after a long holiday break, and it's been a long time since we had one in the southern part of the county, so we will be returning to Spin A Yarn Steakhouse in Fremont. Address is 45915 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA.

Spin A Yarn is known for their excellent steaks but they also have pork, chicken, lamb, seafood, pasta, etc. A full menu can be found HERE

The other thing Spin A Yarn is known for is their appearance on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares in 2012. The episode wasn’t just about critique- it was about transformation. When Gordon Ramsay arrived, he found an unfocused menu lackluster execution, and challenged the owners to rethink their concept. By simplifying the offerings, sharpening the kitchen’s focus on quality steaks, and embracing the classic steakhouse identity they’d drifted from, Spin‑A‑Yarn weathered the spotlight and went on to rebuild itself into a respected Fremont destination, turning a very public wake‑up call into a genuine comeback story.

Plus they defied Newsom's mandates by opening up early during Covid!

Just like Spin‑A‑Yarn Steakhouse bounced back from its Kitchen Nightmares moment, our Alameda County affiliate has staged its own comeback - sharpening processes, reclaiming our groove, and leveling up to host socials and events that are every bit as polished (and satisfying) as a perfectly cooked steak.

Please bring enough cash to cover your meal as the restaurant may not be able to provide separate checks.

Also please RSVP with us by Thursday 3/12 as the restaurant does require reservations. We need to know how big a table to reserve so we don’t get redistricted.
