Join Liberty Labs Toronto for our twelfth meetup on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 7:00 PM near Yonge and Eglinton!
This month we’re exploring conspiracy theories — but we’re skipping the cartoonish ones. Instead, we’ll focus on more credible, historically documented, or intellectually interesting theories that challenge official narratives and often reveal real concentrations of power and incentives to deceive.
We’ll examine:

  • Well-documented historical conspiracies that were later proven true (MKUltra, Operation Mockingbird, COINTELPRO, Tuskegee, and others)
  • Theories around intelligence agencies, media manipulation, and elite networks
  • Financial and economic “conspiracies” — how crises, money creation, and institutional incentives actually work
  • The lab leak debate and how information gets shaped or suppressed
  • How to evaluate conspiracy claims with healthy libertarian skepticism (following incentives, asking “cui bono?”, and separating signal from noise)

This will be an open, respectful, and thought-provoking discussion. The goal isn’t to believe everything — it’s to understand why some theories persist, which ones have real evidence behind them, and what they tell us about power, secrecy, and individual liberty.
What to expect:

  • Open discussion and idea-sharing (bring your own theories or questions)
  • Complimentary appetizers and a drink ticket
  • Everyone who attends will receive a million-dollar Zimbabwe note as a fun take-home reminder of real value vs. fiat illusions
  • Connect with 10-20 liberty-minded Torontonians

Venue: Pickle Barrel (2300 Yonge St, at Yonge & Eglinton), right above Eglinton Station. Easy parking in the Yonge Eglinton Centre garage or nearby Green P lots.
RSVP on Meetup to save your spot.

Let’s dig into the conspiracies that actually matter — and sharpen our ability to think critically about power. See you there!
