What we’re about

Library Strong: Mental Hygiene for Staff is a safe space created exclusively for Charlotte Mecklenburg Library employees to focus on their own wellness, growth, and balance.

As library staff, you show up daily for your community — this group is here to help you show up for yourself. Whether you’re managing stress, feeling overwhelmed, or simply seeking more clarity and calm, this is a place to breathe, reset, and connect.

Each session explores topics like:

  • Mental hygiene and daily emotional care
  • Burnout prevention and compassion fatigue
  • Boundaries and work-life balance
  • Emotional regulation and mindfulness
  • Purpose, motivation, and personal well-being

Sessions are guided by D’Angelo Taylor, LPC, LCMHC, a licensed mental health professional with over 12 years of experience supporting professionals like you.

You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. Just show up as you are — this space is yours.
