LIC Coding Cafe

Let's have a Hackerthon!
We will build a fully functioning fullstack app as a group. We'll practice pair-programming building a database, a backend server api, designing a frontend, building out the frontend api calls, and deploying our app to the web. Then well review the app and demo all the functionality so that everyone can see the entirety of what we created. All contributors will be listed in our GitHub repo so you can show how you contributed on your portfolio.

Future sessions will take up challenges such as working through modules on FreeCodeCamp, CodeWars, LeetCode, etc.

We'll have pizza at our lunch break, and coffee available all day.

Our newly dubbed "LIC Coding Cafe" will happen on the Fourth Saturday of the each month. starting September 28th. Bring your computer, your charger, and your enthusiasm! Most sessions will be on a Saturday, and some will be 2 days (Saturday & Sunday, to be announced).

We will meet at In Queens**--two stops from Grand Central--**in a secure space that is unavailable to the general public. The address will be visible after you RSVP. There no fee to attend.

A note about health and wellness: Keep in mind that COVID is still with us. Wear a mask if you feel it necessary and take every precaution. I chose this airy space because there is room to spread out. And please be respectful of people who choose to protect themselves.
