# Free Plants & Gardening Advice at Canal Market District Farmers Market
The Licking County Master Gardener Volunteers will be offering a free plant and expert gardening advice at the Canal Market District Farmers Market in downtown Newark.

No group host will be at this event but you are encouraged to registered and attend if it interests you!
Do you have a section of lawn that is rarely used or that you’re tired of mowing?
If so, join Nick Hirsch of Keystone Landscapes to learn how you can convert a section of traditional lawn to a native meadow/prairie using seed.
It’s an affordable and DIY friendly option to creating larger areas of beautiful and beneficial habitat in your home landscape. This workshop will cover the ‘how to’ of site assessment, preparation, seeding, and vegetation management. Let’s rethink lawns together!
