Discover nature like never before and help protect Ohio’s biodiversity!

Join the Licking Land Trust for a fun and educational 1-hour BioBlitz at the Fryman Preserve, a beautiful natural area not typically open to the public.

Whether you’re a beginner, amateur naturalist, or seasoned expert, you’ll team up (or explore solo) to document as many plant, insect, bird, and animal species as possible using the iNaturalist app.

Never used iNaturalist before?
No problem! It’s easy, just snap a photo of a bug, plant, or mushroom, and the app will help you identify it. Even better, your observations contribute to real scientific research, helping track invasive species, monitor biodiversity, and support conservation efforts statewide.

👨‍👩‍👧 All ages welcome!
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

You can join in anytime and stay for as long as you like. Work on your own or as part of a team.

Join the Licking Land Trust for a 2-hr BioBlitz to document the biodiversity at the Fryman Preserve. Beginners, amateurs, and experts can join teams to photograph or record the plants and animals at this property owned by the Licking Land Trust. We will generate a comprehensive list of sightings and upload photos to a community science database to contribute to statewide biodiversity efforts. This fun event is open to nature enthusiasts of all ages. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants can join at any point and may work independently or as part of a team.
