Team-Up Webinar: Something Wicked Causing Wilting in the Northeast

Friday, October 30th from 1 pm - 2 pm EST

Laurel wilt is an invasive fungal disease that affects members of the Lauraceae family, including sassafras and spicebush. This disease is now the second deadliest plant disease behind chestnut blight. Previously found only in the south, it was recently discovered in New York and Connecticut, and may prove to be a new management challenge in the northeast.

Join us for a researcher-manager team-up style webinar the day before Halloween. Come learn how researchers and practitioners are working together to detect, understand, and address this emerging threat in the northeast. Land managers, invasive species practitioners, policy makers, researchers, and students are welcome to join this free event.

This event is hosted by the Northeast Regional Invasive Species and Climate Change Management Network (NE RISCC), and will be recorded and available for viewing on the website.
