Do you remember Robin Williams in the Birdcage? That film was originally French with subtitles and called La Cage Aux Folles (1978 - fabulous movie) and then the musical was created!
It tells the story of a gay couple living in Saint Tropez - Georges is the manager of a gay nightclub and his partner Albin is the featured drag entertainment star entertainment. The household is turned upside down when their "straight" son is engaged to a girl whose father is an ultra conservative politician. They plan to visit Saint Tropez to meet the future in laws of their daughter.
It is funny, heart warming and has a great musical score - Featuring the Song I AM WHAT I AM!
