Coffee + Discussion: Self Confidence/Self Esteem

Self-esteem is your opinion of yourself, including your beliefs about your abilities and limitations. It's similar to self-respect and describes your level of confidence in your abilities and attributes. Self-esteem can influence your motivation, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.
Self-esteem is shaped by your thoughts, relationships, and experiences, including those related to culture, religion, and societal status.

Who determines your self esteem, is that locus of your self esteem internal or external.

Those who have left religion have many different experiences; sometimes, those experiences left behind leave us worse for wear. We probably all have a lot of stories, so this is our chance to share them. Whether we just need to laugh, process difficult situations , or are seeking layman's advice, we will break into smaller groups so that everyone has a chance to share. If anything is pressing, or issues are really at a critical moment, please check out the 24/7 hotline from RECOVERING FROM RELIGION: 1-84-I-Doubt-It (1-844-368-2848).

Location: In the UWM Union sitting in the Ground level, The Ground Level as at the level of Kenwood St. The floors are Ground, Level 1 and Level 2. We Will be on the seating to the West of the Main entrance. There is a large seating area on the West side of the building. Find us there.

We will also have a Google Hangout/zoom for the meetup. I will post a hangouts link on this page and in our whatsapp so that you can click and join. See you all virtually on Sunday.

FYI: Bring your own coffee; At least one coffee shop is open in the union. Snacks will be provided! Here are a few nearby shops if you want to pick something up on your way:
