Ocean City/Assateague Island

Back to Ocean City for a last bit of summer fun!
This is dependent on good weather., we will cancel if the there is a bad forecast.

We will get hotel rooms in Ocean City for Thursday night. The hotel is located with their own beach on a shallow bay, and a kayak & paddleboard rental is next door. I will arrive around 1pm or so, grab lunch and head for the rentals to get a paddleboard lesson. They also give kayak lessons. After that, our rooms should be ready. Anyone who wants to come early and join me on the bay is welcome. Don't forget a bathing suit, or something you don't mind getting wet.

For Friday, Assateague is right outside of Ocean City, with kayak and bike rentals. We, or anyone who wants to, will rent bikes and tour the island, with a ride to the public beach to hopefully see wild horses in the ocean. You can rent kayaks if you prefer, to go on your own or the rental place offers a beginner's lesson and tour.

The rental places are currently closed for the season, should open Memorial Day weekend. I will send more specifics later. Last year, the hotel and kayak rental and food ran less than $200.
