4-Hour Portrait Painting from Life – One Model, One Pose
Details
One sitter. One pose. Four hours to really see a face.
In a two-hour session, the time is up just as you start to understand the head. This one gives you room to work: block in the big shapes, find the structure under the skin, wrestle with colour and edges, and take the painting somewhere close to finished.
Our model comes dressed and styled for the session, so you paint character as well as anatomy.
How the day runs
- The model sits for 25–30 minutes at a time, with 5–10 minute breaks in between
- We paint from 10am to 3pm, stopping for lunch around the middle of the day
What to bring
- Your own paints (oil, acrylic or watercolour) and brushes
- A packed lunch
- Easels are provided
Only 3 places
We're a small, settled group of regular painters, and we're opening just 3 places to new faces. Your Meetup booking secures your place.
