Life is Too Short to Watch Lousy Movies

On the Second Saturday of each month the Moderator presents an evening's program consisting of a cartoon and/or short subject, a feature film, and clips from other films and/or documentaries on the genre, the director, the actors, film techniques, and related popular culture. After the movie there is thoughtful moderated discussion, during which participants contribute relevant background information from their brief assigned reading.

Programs are “pot luck,” i.e., the movie is not announced in advance. Most movies will be new to the group, but occasionally we’ll re-show a particularly good film we saw years ago.

Programs are online and, if Covid conditions allow, in-person. Participation is managed via email, not Meetup, so there's no benefit to RSVPing.
