What we’re about

Life is Too Short to Watch Lousy Movies is an Atlanta-based online (always) and in-person (depending on Covid conditions) film appreciation seminar that was founded in 2007 to provide an alternative to a half hour of commercials and two hours of explosions at a multiplex. On the Second Saturday of each month we screen recognized classics, both Hollywood and foreign, and some newer or less famous films, online and in a home theater near Grant Park.

Please Note! Life is Too Short to Watch Lousy Movies is not managed through Meetup. We announce events and reserve seats via email. For us Meetup is just a billboard, a means of getting the word out (i.e., joining the Meetup or RSVPing to an event will not accomplish anything).

For a complete, up-to-date description of the group, please write to our Moderator, Steve W., at **ClassicFilmAppreciation [at] gmail.com**. If after reading our informational PDF you would like to participate, just follow the instructions in that document and you'll be added to our email list and be eligible for both online and in-person participation.
