Canary Wharf to Greenwich: A Walk Through London's Contrasts
Details
Hi lovely people! ๐
Join us for a relaxed walk exploring one of London's most interesting contrasts โ from the modern skyscrapers of Canary Wharf to the historic streets of Greenwich ๐ฟ
2:00pm - We'll begin beneath the famous public clocks of Canary Wharf before making our way through the quieter residential side of the Isle of Dogs.
We will start the walk at 2:15, so please make sure to arrive before that.
By 2:50pm ish - Along the route we'll pass and stop by Mudchute Farm, one of Europe's largest urban farms, where city life and countryside unexpectedly meet. We will spend there arund 30-40 minutes depending how the group memebers are feeling. There is also a cafe where you will be able to rest and grab something.
๐ฃ From there, we'll continue towards Greenwich via the historic Greenwich Foot Tunnel โ a unique chance to walk beneath the River Thames and emerge on the other side of London's maritime district.
๐ฅง We'll make a stop at Goddards at Greenwich, a local favourite known for its traditional pie, mash and liquor.
๐ปโ For those who would like to stay longer, we'll finish by the riverside at Trafalgar Tavern, where we can enjoy a drink, coffee, or simply watch the boats go by.
This will be an easy-paced social walk with plenty of opportunities to chat, take photos and enjoy a different side of London.
