✋NO-SHOW POLICY:

We have a large waitlist for all our events. It's not fair on those who would like to come but can't because others have taken a space but then didn't come. To reduce the potential, we are implementing a no-show policy: If you don't come to an event that you RSVP (within 48 hours of the event) you will be banned for 1 month for future events.

👋 Hey, discover how to master your emotional intelligence with a thought-provoking and friendly approach while meeting like-minded people from all over the world.

Join us for a modern-day version of an 18th-century salon. Engage in an evening of meaningful conversation without the usual small talk. A place to share personal stories and to learn from diverse ideas.

Each week or so we hand-pick a topic and 3 prompt questions to discuss with approximately 20 people from all over the globe, representing dozens of different countries, ages, and backgrounds.

🔥 THEME OF EVENT: FORGIVNESS

### 1️⃣ Do you find it difficult to say “I’m sorry”?

Follow-ups:

  • What makes an apology feel genuine to you — words, tone, or changed behavior?
  • Is there someone you still owe an apology to, but haven’t found the courage or right moment?

2️⃣ Have you ever lost a friend because neither of you could say “I’m sorry”?

Follow-ups:

  • What stopped you from being the first to reach out?
  • Do you think the friendship could have survived if forgiveness came sooner?

### 3️⃣ Have you become more or less forgiving as you’ve aged?

Follow-ups:

  • What experiences have softened you, and which have hardened you?
  • How has your view of justice or compassion changed over time?

### 4️⃣ Is there something you’ve struggled to forgive - either something you did, or something done to you?

Follow-ups:

  • What has kept that wound alive — anger, guilt, fear, or something else?
  • What do you imagine forgiveness would change, if it happened?

### 5️⃣ Have you ever had to face betrayal in a relationship - and could you (or did you) forgive it?

Follow-ups:

  • What did forgiveness mean in that situation — reconciliation, release, or self-protection?
  • Do you think trust can ever be fully rebuilt, or does it return in a different form?

### 6️⃣ Have your parents ever done something that’s been hard for you to forgive?

Follow-ups:

  • When did you first realize they were human - not perfect, just people shaped by their own stories?
  • What might forgiveness look like if it didn’t mean excusing what happened?

💬 WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"A melting pot of enquiring minds sharing personal insights" – Catherine Flanagan, Lisbon | LQA premium member

"With forced distancing and confinement brought about by responses to COVID, the LQA meetings provide me with one of life's great joys... To meet with, share experiences, hear different perspectives from people of all walks of life, different generations, and different corners of the planet" – Scott Ruddell, Colorado | LQA premium member

“Since joining LQA I have had the opportunity to meet some fantastic people who have a wide range of knowledge and life experience. Of course, before participating I was under the impression that one must have read tones of books, possess a higher IQ or even a quiz master but frankly, those qualities are not the ethos for LQA. I personally learned that it’s about sharing, coming together with all sorts of knowledge and having growth mindset to learn and hear other people’s perspective. Overall, I would highly recommend joining LQA as it will broaden your horizons and it will enable you to share your world views on a larger scale with like-minded people.” – Shah Karim, London | LQA premium member
