Delma Island Camping

Located in Abu Dhabi Emirate, just next to Sir Baniyas Island lies Delma Island. It's accessible by car ferries, which leaves mainland port early in the morning or late in the evening.

There is a village on the island, but it is mostly empty, full of beautiful nature. Empty beaches, gorgeous mangrove swamps and little rocky area all await us.

We will camp on the beach. Please note, there are no toilet or shower facilities, but there will be some water for you to wash yourself off with. Full shower will not be possible.

We will leave Dubai late Friday and stay overnight at a hotel near the port (approx. 3hr drive) to avoid long early morning drive on Saturday. We will be fresh and awake to enjoy the 2hr ferry ride across to Delma Island, arriving early enough to drive around and explore what the island has to offer. On Sunday you can return on 7am or 1pm ferry depending on your schedule.

There is a supermarket on the island.

It is a self-drive trip. Camping equipment is available for rent at 300dhs per set (tent, mattress, blanket).
