About us
đ If small talk drains you, deep conversations light you up, and youâre curious about many things - from science and philosophy to art and more - you'll feel at home here!
đĄ Groups are kept small to deepen conversations and give everyone a chance to speak. Each discussion is guided by currated theme-specific question cards and knowledge prepared in advance by the organizers - so we go beyond opinions and debate.
đ¤ Real connection and learning happen through the conversation by listening closely, being playful, curious and exploring ideas together.
𧊠Before each event, we share interactive âfood for thoughtâ on Instagram to warm up the conversation.

----------------------------- đ Shared Community Contributions -----------------------------
This community exists because a significant amount of care and work goes into organizing each event. This includes:
⢠Finding and coordinating quiet venues
⢠Preparing and facilitating events
⢠Managing logistics and communication
⢠Maintaining social media and community outreach (which helps grow the group and secure venues)
⢠Covering the increasing Meetup platform fees and related expenses
To keep this sustainable, participants are invited to contribute in one of two ways:
⢠Volunteer your time or skills to help organize, host, or support events (such social media outreach)
⢠Pay the event contribution, which helps cover the costs above
Both forms of contribution are equally valued đ
-------------------------- đŤ Respect, Community Integrity & Safety --------------------------
This is not a commercial service, but a community we build together. Mutual respect and trust are foundational.
Harassment, discrimination, or insults - in person or online - will result in an immediate ban.
Similarly, committing to attend and contribute (financially or otherwise) and then not following through undermines the shared trust that keeps this space alive. This may result in exclusion from future events.

Book Club - "The Mind-Gut Connection" by Emeran Mayer
Freiwilligenladen MĂźnchner Freiwillige â Wir helfen e.V., Tumblingerstrasse 50, MĂźnchen, DE"The gut is not just a digestive organ; it is a sensory organ, constantly talking to the brain."
A quiet, ongoing dialogue between brain and gut - carried through nerves, hormones, and microbes - shapes how we think, feel, and interact with others. What we once reduced to a food processor is revealed as a hidden intelligence - the "second brain" - deeply influencing mood, stress, immunity, developmental diseases and mental health.
The Mind-Gut Connection invites us to reconsider where the mind truly lives. It explores the interconnectedness of body and mind, the profound influence of the microbiome, the science behind stress and emotion, and an evolving understanding of health as a whole-body experience. It challenges the archaic idea that wellness is isolated to a single organ, reminding us instead that everything is connected - constantly communicating, constantly adapting.

đż Community Guidelines
- Only attend if youâre on the attendee list.
- Listen actively and with curiosity, without interrupting.
- Engage with ideas, not individuals. Weâre here to explore, learn and share, not to argue.
- Stay present - phones away, attention in the room with physical people.
- Photos will be taken during the event to share highlights and help grow our community. If youâd rather not be in any photos, just let us know in writing before the event - weâll gladly respect that.
- Avoid no-shows and last-minute dropouts - they take a spot from someone else. If this happens, please get in touch, otherwise youâll be removed from the next meetup. If repeated, you may be removed from the group.
