Happiness is a subject of contradictions - we all aspire to be happy, and it seems that the very pursuit of it breeds anxiety and sadness. It is undoubtedly one of those subjects that seem simple at first, but which quickly reveals its complexity when one dares to delve deeper into it. So, let's explore happily and/or anxiously together the workings of happiness, which seems to be more than just an emotion!

• What does happiness mean for you? A state of mind?
• What is your recipe of happiness?
• Are we happier than our forefathers?
• Are wealthier countries happier?
• Does our modern obsession with happiness prevent us from appreciating the positive values of negative emotions?
• And, let's explore the subtle transition between the emotion (feeling happy) and the identity (being a happy person)!

To build together a fruitful, respectful and inspiring conversation, please be aware of the following ground rules:

• Avoid blame, speculation, and inflammatory language.
• Allow everyone the chance to speak.
• Avoid no-shows to be fair towards the participants in the waitlist and the organizer.
• Avoid showing up to the event if you are not part of the attendees list to be fair towards the waitlist members and the organizer.
• Be mindful and present during the discussion and avoid being on your phone - after all, it's the beauty of a face-to-face social interaction.

New - Venue Fee : A small €6 fee serves to pay the arty venue, Le Hygge, for hosting our meetup with an entire cosy room just for us. The price comprises a big plate of a wide range of vegetarian specialities from the restaurant that the owner kindly offers us in exchange for the support of his small business while hosting our meetup, :) We kindly ask you to transfer the fee via PayPal 24 hours before the event to the Assistant Organizer, Einar paypal.me/einsiol.
