This meetup includes two talks. In the first talk, delivered by Haim Michael (Israel), we will dive deep into the core collection types in JavaScript — arrays, maps, and sets — unpacking their unique characteristics and use cases. In the second part, delivered by Sam Vervaeck (Belgium), we will become familiar with the standard collections library for TypeScript.

Sam Vervaeck is an open-source developer with a big interest in compilers and how programming languages work. He studied some computer science but then went his own way. Right now, he's working on Mage, a very flexible parser generator based on parser combinators. Sam is the creator of the Standard Collections Library for TypeScript.

Haim Michael has more than 25 years of experience in software development, training & consulting. More info about Haim's experience over the years can be found at http://blog.lifemichael.com. Haim is a PHP Zend Certified Engineer, OMG-Certified UML Professional, Certified Java Professional, and a Certified Java EE Web Components Developer. In addition, Haim Michael holds an MBA (cum-laude) from Tel Aviv University.
