Claude for Beginners and Beyond [Free Meetup]

Join us for a practical, hands-on introduction to Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant. We'll start with the fundamentals: what Claude is, how it differs from a typical chatbot, and the range of platforms it runs on, from web and desktop to mobile and Slack.

From there, we'll dig into effective prompting: how to define Claude's role, provide context, and specify the output you expect. You'll see how Projects keep related conversations and files organized, how Artifacts turn Claude's output into standalone, shareable documents and apps, and how Skills, Connectors, and the Model Context Protocol extend Claude's abilities with your own tools and data.

We'll also talk about Enterprise Search, Research Mode, and Extended Thinking, along with the Claude Desktop app's Chat, Cowork, and Code modes.

Finally, we'll close with the 4D Framework for AI Fluency: Delegation, Description, Discernment, and Diligence, a practical model for building real judgment in how you work with AI.

Come with questions; there will be time for discussion. Prior knowledge is not required. Whether you're brand new to Claude or already using it daily, you'll leave with practical tools you can apply right away.
