Hike Mount Monadnock with Life's A Hike !!!!

Caution: If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend this event.

Hike Details: Before signing up for this hike, please read the following carefully:

  • Trail Length: Embark on a 6-mile loop trail at Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH.
  • Elevation Gain: Prepare for an elevation gain of 1800 ft.
  • Difficulty Level: This route is generally considered challenging, taking an average of 5 hours to complete (excluding stoppages). The hardship level is rated as 3.
  • Trail Description: The loop begins at the Mount Monadnock Park HQ and winds through various trails, culminating at the summit of the mountain.
  • Footwear Recommendation: Given rocky sections along the trail, opt for close-toed hiking shoes. Sneakers and jeans are not recommended.

Important Notes:

  • Trailhead Address: For those heading directly to the trailhead, the address is 169 Poole Rd, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
  • Carpool Address: If you’re interested in carpooling, meet at Walmart (750 US-202, Rindge, NH 03461).

  • Parking Fee: The parking rate is $15 per car (up to 6 people).

What to Bring:

  • Water: Carry at least 2 liters.
  • Snacks/Lunch: Fuel up along the way.
  • Hiking Poles: Helpful for stability.
  • Working Headlamp: Be prepared for changing light conditions.
  • Bug Spray: Keep those pesky insects at bay.
  • Rain Jacket/Windbreaker: Weather can be unpredictable.

Restrictions:

  • No Pets or Guests: Leave your furry friends and non-participants behind.
  • Profile Photo: Ensure your profile clearly shows your face.
  • Group Size: The hike is limited to 12 people.
