About us
Lifestyle Design Perth
For people who want to design a life they actually want to live.
Lifestyle Design Perth is a community for people who are thinking more intentionally about what a good life looks like and how to build one.
That might mean creating more freedom, changing careers, building a side hustle or lifestyle business, working towards financial independence, improving your health, protecting your relationships, travelling more, or simply creating a better balance between work and the rest of your life.
At its core, this group is for people who believe in working to live, not living to work.
You are probably working towards some combination of:
- Designing a life you actually want — rather than simply following the default path.
- Time freedom — having more control over how you spend your days.
- Financial independence — building enough financial security to give yourself more choices.
- A side hustle or lifestyle business — creating income in a way that gives you more flexibility, autonomy and freedom.
- Meaningful work — doing work that is interesting, useful and fits the life you want to live.
- Location freedom — having the ability to work, travel or spend more time in different places.
- Better health and energy — being physically and mentally well enough to enjoy the life you are building.
- Strong relationships — making time for family, friendships and community.
- More experiences and adventure — prioritising travel, hobbies, challenges and memorable experiences instead of constantly postponing them.
- A sense of enough — deciding what success means to you rather than endlessly chasing more money, status or achievement.
You have probably been inspired by books and ideas such as:
- The 4-Hour Workweek — Tim Ferriss
- The 5 Types of Wealth — Sahil Bloom
- Die With Zero — Bill Perkins
- The Psychology of Money — Morgan Housel
- The Pathless Path — Paul Millerd
- Designing Your Life — Bill Burnett & Dave Evans
- Four Thousand Weeks — Oliver Burkeman
- The Almanack of Naval Ravikant — Eric Jorgenson
- Essentialism — Greg McKeown
- The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari — Robin Sharma
You definitely do not need to have read these books. They are simply examples of the kinds of ideas and conversations that might bring people to the group.
The aim is simple: get like-minded people together once a month for a coffee and have interesting conversations about designing a better life.
No presentations. No hard selling. No awkward networking.
Just people sharing ideas, experiences, experiments, successes, mistakes and what they are working towards.
If you are trying to create more freedom, meaning, balance and intention in your life, or you simply believe there should be more to life than working all week and waiting for the weekend, you will probably fit right in.
