2011 Thanksgiving Food Drive for Homeless Children
Details
Please join our 2011 Thanksgiving Food Drive For Homeless Children
We will be working with CRN and other organizations this holiday season to make this a joyous holiday for everyone.
Please join with Children’s Restoration Network (CRN) and our community’s corporations, churches, scouts, youth groups, families and individuals conducting food drives to ensure that our Thanksgiving table includes our homeless children.
CRN's goal is to stock some 134 shelter food pantries with all the basics as well as with kid-favorite treats, and to collect and distribute 200 turkeys with all the fixings so our homeless children and moms enjoy the kind of Thanksgiving dinner we enjoy with our families.
Children’s Restoration Network’s Thanksgiving 2011 Goal Is
To Collect 200+ Turkeys and All The Trimmings for the Homeless Children Living in Shelters and Group Homes.
Due to our limited cold storage space, we would prefer gift cards to buy the turkeys; however, we would be delighted to accept either one.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
picking up/delivering the food
helping sort/organize collected food (time will be from 10am to 4pm depending on # of volunteers)
helping cook/serve meals on Thanksgiving Day at the group homes and shelters
Here is a list of items that the shelters need donated:
Gift cards can be mailed to: Lift UP Atlanta, Box 1525, Norcross, GA 30071 and supplies / gift cards can be dropped off at Roz's home in Norcross, GA or Children's Restoration Network in Roswell, GA under group's name.
