About us
About this group:
First rule of LiftClub: you talk about LiftClub.
Here's the thing: every sport has its club. Runners have run clubs. Cyclists have their pelotons. Even calisthenics bros have their park crews and questionable playlists. Tennis, padel, badminton, they've all got built-in communities, group chats, the whole thing.
Gym-goers? We get headphones, a water bottle, and the thousand-yard stare into a mirror. You can see the same person at the squat rack for three years and know literally nothing about them except their deadlift PR (respect, though).
And honestly, that's a little strange when you think about it. For a lot of us, the gym isn't just a workout, it's where we go through real stuff. Bad days, slow progress, injuries that test your patience, small wins that nobody else quite understands the weight of (pun intended). You show up alone, you leave alone, and somewhere along the way you forget that there's probably ten other people in that same room fighting the same quiet battles you are.
LiftClub exists to close that gap. No group workouts, no forced burpees, no one yelling at you to "give it one more rep." Just a laid-back social meetup for people who lift, over coffee, beers, whatever, where you can actually talk to other humans who get why you're eating your fourth meal of the day out of tupperware, and who might just become the people who talk you through a plateau or celebrate your PR like it's their own.
Come for:
Meeting other gym-goers in Berlin who won't judge your split (PPL gang, arms-only enjoyers, we don't discriminate)
Swapping progress, plateaus, and "bro I pulled something weird" stories
Trading training philosophies and arguing about programming like it's a personality trait (it kind of is)
Finding a gym buddy so you have someone to blame your missed alarm on
Building an actual friend group of people who get it, because chasing progress alone gets old, and it's better with people in your corner
Who it's for:
Anyone who trains, three weeks in or ten years deep, powerlifter, bodybuilder, or "I just don't want to skip leg day again" enthusiast. Solo lifters especially welcome. If you've ever finished a workout and thought "cool, now what," this is your answer.
Format:
Casual meetups over coffee or drinks. No reps, no sets, no spotting required, just conversation.
