LIGHT IN THE DARK COMMUNITY'S ANNUAL BELTANE FIRE FESTIVAL CELEBRATION!

Details

LIGHT IN THE DARK COMMUNITY'S ANNUAL BELTANE FIRE FESTIVAL CELEBRATION! In 2025, Beltane will begin on the evening of Wednesday, April 30th, and continue into Thursday, May 1st, 2025. This fire festival marks the height of spring and the beginning of summer, celebrating fertility, passion, and the union of masculine and feminine energies.

Hang out with Magickal Eclectic folk manifesting their wish-lists in a medieval castle environment. We have a great time getting to know others in a casual renaissance atmosphere using the olden ways of manifestation.

Food ~ Wine ~ Ceremony, drumming and sometimes even dancing in Parvati's Great Room! Come and learn how to go to the next level to create what you want in life while partnering with green hedge Witches and other magickal folk. This is not a coven, just independent magickal, and Fairie folk gathering together. Dress as you wish to connect you to your magickal self.

We shall feast, drum, drink and dance our way into the Summer! We will be doing a Shamanic burning bowl ceremony for personal intentions to bring real change into our lives! Joining with other Magickal beings adds power, friendship, and meaning to our Spiritual community, giving us the Tribe that all are searching for. Beltane is a powerful time where the veils between the worlds is very thin, like Samhain, so that magick can happen. It is an amazing time to tap into the wisdom of the Earth, the light of the Sun, and your profound connection with Source, and the entire Cosmos. We have the celebration inside and do the burning ceremony outside.

Ley Lines: Our location is very near, or right on top of a Ley Line in the earth that connects us to all of the magickal sacred sites around the world, so it is the perfect place to manifest and do magick!! Our space is a portal, and we have had much paranormal activity here, which makes for interesting meetings, and for effective manifestation to take place!

INTENT OF BELTANE...
The Intent of Beltane Celebrations is to have members of communities come together to celebrate the return of the summer. The observance of this hugely important time in the turning of the wheel of the year was characterized by a celebration of the return of the fertility of the land and would have been a time when livestock would have been put out to pasture... more below...

ABOUT US...
This community is for those who have many diverse individual belief systems, and do not wish to be linked to groups, covens, or organizations with specific agendas/religious beliefs, or memberships. 'To Each Her, Their, or His Own, is our Motto'.

The Light in the Dark Community meets on, or near, Pagan Holiday Celebrations to hang out with other like-minded individuals from similar walks of life! We normally gather for Potlucks to hang out socially, and sometimes we do super casual Shamanic burning bag rituals for renewal and manifestation - there is Strength in numbers when it comes to prayer magick and manifestation! The holidays and moon cycles also add power to our intentions! Kick back, put your feet up and eat, drink and be merry with like-minded others while creating the life that you deserve!

LGBTA, Pagans, Christian-Pagans, Druid, Celtic, Norse, Viking, Spiritualist, Metaphysical, Walk-ins & Star Children, Other-Worldly paths/beliefs, as well as those who are on a non-committal Spiritual Path with no particular direction are welcome at all events and gatherings. There is no formal membership here. Only Rule: No one pushes their own beliefs/agendas at gatherings - but sharing of ourselves with one another in a diverse and welcoming atmosphere is our norm.

MORE ABOUT BELTANE...
The word ‘Beltane’ roughly translates as ‘bright fire’ and, as such, one of the most important Earth Traditions rituals, which survives today in our modern festival, concerns the lighting of the Beltane bonfire. Fire was seen as a purifier and healer and would have been walked around and danced/jumped over by the members of the community. Farmers would also have driven their cattle between bonfires to cleanse and protect them before being put out into the fields. In ancient communities, all hearth fires would have been extinguished and a new one lit, which would have then been used to relight people’s hearths in their own homes. In this way the community was connected to each other by the sacred fire which was central to all. The festival would also have been a time of courtship rituals and a celebration of our own fertility!

The important point to note when thinking about our own festival is the joy and the revelry that is fostered in the ritual. It is about casting off the darkness and celebrating the light. It is a time for celebrating fertility, both in the context of our biological functions as well as our own creative energies, the fertility of our creative community.
