I contacted Chris Farley of LA Street Photography about a few years ago about reposting this event, no response... yet!! Chris I hope you're well and can make it!!! It's one of the most Photogenic Streets in LA!!!
A few words from Chris:
Meet in front of the Bradbury. Look for people with cameras. We usually wait 1/2 hour before moving out . Try to be on time. Pack light. Wear a hat , water is advised. Be polite to your subject, no means no . Don't harass the homeless. Be discreet. If you have questions ask me.. End time is always tentative. If you cant make it after you have RSVP'd ,, Do not wait till the night before to let us know. ....................... HERE ARE THE RULES , No harassing the homeless, DO NOT PAY FOR SHOTS. If someone says NO, then NO means NO. Be respectful on the street. Do not leave your cameras etc. unattended , not even while shooting .Not even for a second, Be aware of your surroundings, You are responsible for your own safety . So be aware of those around you.
9 am, BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE for Caffeine, 9:15 migrating South on the East Side of the street,,, Turnaround 6-7 blocks or as you please,,,, the West Side of the street gives you another perspective on the way back. Stay in small groups, be aware & FOCUSED!!! Don't carry three cameras around your neck or unnecessary equipment, just the basics...
Parking all over, don't ask....
I added a few flavorful shots from some talented photographers in the Broadway Gallery!!!
