The Golden Ages X Lightning: On High Culture

Throughout history, grand civilizations have risen to impressive heights, inspiring the world with breakthroughs in the sciences, arts and culture. Have you ever wondered what propelled these societies to greatness, and what might have led to their downfall?

Join us in this workshop series exploring the golden ages of history where we will unpack these questions and hopefully gain clarity on how to best contribute to the development of a new golden age.

The event will be available both online and in person. For the in person audience, we will be meeting in the beautiful garden space of Usina Coworking.

In this session we will explore how a civilization, in the course of its historical development cultivates a refined sense of self identity and expression. This high culture period can be thought of as the actualization of the inner potentiality of a people.

The event will begin with a short speech, introducing the key concepts and setting the tone for deeper exploration. Following this, we'll engage in independent writing exercises, allowing you to reflect on the ideas presented. The event will culminate in a group discussion where you can share your thoughts and connect with others.

This meetup is for to anyone interested in:
- How to build a better world
- History
- Philosophy

No prior reading or academic background is required, however reading chapter 5 of Oswald Spengler's work The Decline of the West will give you a richer background of the subject and enhance the discussion.
