Lincoln Walking Group

Meeting at the Yorkshire Bridge Inn PH, We walk to Ladybower dam wall, see the Plug holes and join the Thornhill trail. We follow the trail south then cross the river Derwent near Bamford Mill. We will walk through Bamford village stopping at the Bakery to pick up a snack ready for the climb up to Bamford Moor. This part of the walk is quite steep 25% - 35% for about 3/4 of a mile. We will walk along the Bamford edge to the wood section then descend back down to Ladybower reservoir and back to the start. Total distance around 5.5 miles. Please try and car share and find suitable parking near the pub or side streets. There is a Pay and display Heatherdene car park nearby but it does fill up early. Subs £1 thanks

This is a 7 mile walk Meeting in the Mulsanne Park Sportsground carpark We will set off promptly into open countryside. Passing through a couple of villages, and farms. We will stop at the Bottle and Glass, Scothern, for refreshing drinks.
Bring a Picnic and/or snacks. Picnic can be had during, or after the walk.
Most of the route is on hard surfaces,(tarmac) roads and paths although there are stretches of mud tracks, that may be very wet and churned up.

At the time of pre-walking. It was possible to walk around the fields.

Join us for an evening walk through Hartsholme along the lake path to the Swanholme pub. We will stop for a drink and return through Swanholme around the big lake and back into Hartsholme. The walk is around 3 miles long, please park near the Shearwater road entrance.
Dogs allowed on a lead, £1 subs please.
