A circular walk in the Lincolnshire Wolds - starting from Donington on Bain

This is a scenic 6 mile walk that takes about 2 1/2 hours at a steady pace.

We follow the valley of the River Bain, see the eerily deserted RAF Steingot, follow the ridge top to Gaydon le Wold before descending to the River Bain. We then pass a deserted medieval village in Biscathorpe and the picture postcard Donington Mill.

I will be having Sunday lunch at The Black Horse Inn Black Horse Inn – Donington on Bain - let me know if you wish to join me for lunch. This pub is highly recommended. It is dog friendly and has a large car park. Dogs are welcome in the bar but not the restaurant so let me know if joining for lunch and bringing a dog .
