A Weekend in North Yorkshire - Whitby

Details
Join me for a weekend in North Yorkshire - or just come for one of the walks.
We will base ourselves in Whitby.
Whitby is most famous for its connections with the fictional vampire Dracula, Captain Cook, and the iconic Whitby Abbey. The town also boasts a busy harbour, a picturesque cliff-top landscape, and a rich history. Additionally, Whitby is known for being a popular destination for Goth Weekend.
I intend to do two walks:
1. A longer coastal walk on Saturday following the Cleveland Way starting from Sandsend and taking about 4 hours with a late lunch in Staithes. This is a fabulous walk along the Yorkshire coast. It has amazing views and is not too challenging. Runswick Bay is just under half way with its broad sandy beach. We will then have some free time to explore Staithes before getting the bus back to Whitby later that afternoon (runs every half hour and costs £2).
2. On Sunday we will do the stunning Falling Foss Waterfall Walk. This very scenic route takes you over green pastures, through ancient woodlands and alongside the gorgeous and tranquil May Beck before reaching the waterfall. Another big attraction of this walk is the the very charming Falling Foss Tea Garden, described by Lonely Planet as being “one of the most enchanting Tea Gardens in England”.
The Tea Garden is located in the grounds of Midge Hall, an old gamekeeper’s cottage which has been lovingly restored. This is the perfect place to stop for a cup of tea and a slice of cake before setting off back through Little Beck Wood Nature Reserve for our return walk.
Accommodation in the local area is very reasonable at this time of year and there are lots of places of interest to visit. Please book your own accommodation.
I will put each of the walks up as separate events with timings and the exact meeting point but this post is to judge the interest.
