Sandsend, Lythe, Mulgrave Wood and Castle Circuit

Details
We start again at Sandsend before following East Bow Beck through Mulgrave Woods, a dense forest area filled with ancient trees, ferns, and a variety of wildlife. The initial part of the trail is relatively flat to the castle ruins dating back to the 13th century. Continuing on, the trail begins to ascend, offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Around the 4 km (2.5 miles) mark, we reach the highest point of the trail, where there are breathtaking views of the North Sea and the rolling hills of North Yorkshire.
We then head across the fields to the villages of West Barnby and Lythe via Barnby Woods before returning via the coastal path to Sandsend.
This is a 6 1/2 mile circular route which should take us about 2 1/2 hours and is graded easy to moderate. There are toilets at the start of the walk but none on route.
I plan on staying for Sunday lunch at The Bridge Inn in Ruswarp (dog friendly), just a short (3 miles) drive away. The address is High St, Ruswarp, Whitby, YO21 1NJ.
The menu can be seen here Sunday Lunch Menu - The Bridge Inn Ruswarp.
Please let me know soonest in the comments below if you would like to stay for lunch before the journey home as I will need to book a table.
