Horncastle Circular
Details
This 9 mile walk starts in the market place in the centre of Horncastle, a town which lies on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and is now a centre for the antiques trade.
Once out of the town, the walk takes in gently undulating field tracks, good paths, a canal tow path and quiet lanes. We start and finish by walking on the Viking Way. Please note we do need to cross a couple of busy roads during the walk.
We will have a refreshment break at The Durham Ox pub in the village of Thimbleby (dogs allowed in the bar area).
There is free car parking at The Cattle Market car park, The Wong, Horncastle LN9 6EB, a short walk from our start point.
I have booked a table for Sunday lunch in the pet friendly area at Home - Admiral Rodney Hotel, Horncastle. Please let me know in the comments if you wish to stay for lunch.
£1 subs as usual please.
