Bamford edge and the Thornhill Trail. Peaks day trip.

Meeting at the Yorkshire Bridge Inn PH, We walk to Ladybower dam wall, see the Plug holes and join the Thornhill trail. We follow the trail south then cross the river Derwent near Bamford Mill. We will walk through Bamford village stopping at the Bakery to pick up a snack ready for the climb up to Bamford Moor. We will walk along the Bamford edge to the wood section then descend back down to Ladybower reservoir and back to the start. Total distance around 6 miles. Please try and car share and find suitable parking near the pub or side streets. There is a Pay and display Heatherdene car park nearby. Subs £1 thanks
