Hebden Bridge Weekend
Details
Hebden Bridge is known as the “Walkers are Welcome” town. It has an excellent combination of scenic paths, cosy pubs and teashops. We will hike over the moors, and stroll beside the water to explore the area’s industrial and literary heritage.
I intend to do a 7.5 miles (12 km) – moderate/challenging circular walk on Saturday from Hebden Bridge following the Pennine Way before visiting Hardcastle Crags where we can stop for a lunch/toilets at Gibson Mill. We then follow the riverside path all the way back into the centre of Hebden Bridge. The terrain is a mixture of canal towpath, stone
paths and moorland and the walk takes about 4 hours without stops.
On Sunday we will visit the stunning waterfall Lumbs Falls.
Full walk details for both days will be added closer to the time as seperate events.
