170+ people have joined us at each of our first two LingoMix events, and we're just getting started.
Meet people from around the world in Cincinnati.
LingoMix is a recurring, in-person social gathering for people who are curious about languages, cultures, travel, and other people. We bring together students, professionals, immigrants, travelers, and Cincinnati's global community to create opportunities to meet people you might not otherwise cross paths with.
You do not need to speak another language to come. Whether you're fluent in several languages, learning your first words, or simply interested in meeting people from different backgrounds, you're welcome.
Come practice languages in a relaxed, social setting. This is not a class, lecture, or structured language exchange. It's casual conversation, meeting new people, and jumping between languages as you like.
### How it works
- 🌎 Free, open, drop-in social event
- No speakers, presentations, or programmed activities
- Wear flag stickers showing the languages you speak or want to practice, arranged from strongest to weakest
- Standing = open to conversation. Sitting = taking a break.
- Move freely, join conversations, and meet new people
- Practice with people of all language levels, from beginner to fluent
- Coming alone? Totally normal.
- No registration or language partner required, just show up and start talking
