La sesión se llevará a cabo en español, con la introducción y explicación de algunos términos en francés cuando sea pertinente. Está dirigida a personas que sienten curiosidad, admiración o un interés profundo por la cultura francesa, especialmente a quienes sueñan con viajar a Francia o desean comprenderla más allá de una mirada puramente turística.
Este encuentro no se centra en la gramática ni en el aprendizaje formal del idioma. Su enfoque está en la historia, los símbolos, los rituales y el contexto cultural que dieron forma a uno de los lugares más emblemáticos de Francia: el Palacio de Versalles, permitiendo comprender el significado profundo de este recinto histórico.

Durante la conferencia exploraremos, entre otros temas:

• La evolución histórica del palacio, desde pabellón de caza hasta centro absoluto del poder político.
• La vida cotidiana de la corte, con especial atención a Luis XIV, el Rey Sol, y el uso del ceremonial como herramienta política.
• Una lectura cultural del mobiliario, la arquitectura y las artes, entendidas como un lenguaje de poder, prestigio y control.
• Los momentos de ruptura, como la marcha de los parisinos hacia Versalles y el inicio del fin del Antiguo Régimen.

📢 We invite you to an open cultural trial class, open to the general public. This session is part of a premium program, and this first meeting is offered free of charge as an opportunity to discover the teaching style through a cultural exploration of Versailles.
The session will be conducted in Spanish, with the use and explanation of selected terms in French when relevant. It is designed for those who feel curiosity, admiration, or a deep interest in French culture, especially for those who dream of traveling to France or wish to understand it beyond a purely touristic perspective.
This encounter does not focus on grammar or formal language learning. Instead, it centers on history, symbols, rituals, and the cultural context that shaped one of France’s most emblematic sites: the Palace of Versailles, allowing participants to grasp the deep meaning of this historic setting.

During the lecture, we will explore, among other topics:

• The historical evolution of the palace, from a hunting lodge to the absolute center of political power.
• Daily life at court, with special attention to Louis XIV, the Sun King, and his use of ceremony as a political tool.
• A cultural reading of furniture, architecture, and the arts, understood as a language of power, prestige, and control.
• Key moments of rupture, such as the march of the Parisians on Versailles and the beginning of the end of the Ancien Régime.
