Linguas is a Melbourne language exchange and international social community hosting relaxed weekly events in the Melbourne CBD for locals, international students, travellers, backpackers, expats and young professionals.
Our events are designed for people who want to make friends in Melbourne, practise English, meet internationals, enjoy casual conversations, and be part of a friendly social community without awkward networking or pressure.
At Linguas, you can expect a welcoming mix of people from all over the world, casual drinks, music, language exchange, social games, board games, gaming nights, video game meetups and easy ways to meet new people in Melbourne.

People arrive at different times —
best time to come is between 6PM and 9PM.
Come solo or with friends — most people come alone and join conversations naturally.***

You were not sent to investigate what happened.
You were sent to repeat it.Welcome to The Thought Experiment — a meetup where we explore big “What if…?” scenarios in a fun, thoughtful, and imaginative way.
Each session, we take one scenario — from global crises to dark sci-fi futures — and work together to imagine what humanity might do next. Some people bring research, others bring instinct and imagination. Either way, the goal is curiosity, debate, and interesting conversations.
