LA Labs meets Sensemakers: Dock your Pi!

This week is the Docker Mentor week, so we want to organize a workshop meetup where we are going to install Docker on your Raspberry Pi. At Linux Amsterdam we already had an 'Introduction to Docker' series this spring. And now we want to do it together with the Sensemakers group to combine the power of Linux, Containers & IoT!

The purpose of this meetup is to get you acquainted with the use of Docker on the Raspberry Pi and get you going in using Docker in your projects.

Because this is a workshop meeting, there are some requirements. When you don't bring in the equipment, it is not possible to participate!

Requirements

• Raspberry Pi (B, B+, 2 & 3)

• Clean 16Gb SD-card, minimal class 10, (fresh install with the latest version of Raspbian Lite)

• Network cable or working (proven) wifi adapter

• Laptop with ssh client software. (or means to control the pi without laptop, like Pi-Top)

• Powercable for the Pi and Laptop

Installing the Raspberry Pi, Configure your Pi, Install Docker, Run a container on the Pi, Basic control of containers & Create your own container.

For food & drinks, we ask everyone to contribute 5,- (cash).

The event will be hosted by Glimworm at the Marinekazerne terrain.
