Richard Collins, Ubuntu Mobile Product Manager.

Richard has been with Canonical for 5 years and in that time he has been at the centre of Canonical's mobile product development and is now Canonical's product lead for convergence. Earlier this year Canonical launched their first fully converged tablet: an Ubuntu mobile device which transforms into a full PC and which won several awards at this year's Mobile World Congress. This success was quickly followed up with Canonical announcing its first smartphone with the ability to drive a full PC experience to an external display. Bringing real PC productivity to mobile devices is at the heart of Canonical's vision for convergence. At our next event, Richard will present and demonstrate this vision and discuss the opportunities for Ubuntu as a single, self-contained OS that will scale for any display and run any kind of application on any type of device.”

"Dr John Hearns gained a PhD in High Energy Particle physics for work at the CERN lab in Geneva.

Since then, he has concentrated on high performance technical computing in a range of fields,

helping scientists and engineers to apply the latest and fastest computing technology.

He has worked in medical imaging at Guys Hospital, in the visual effects industry in Soho and in Formula 1.

HE currently is in the HPC team at XMA, which constructs and manages high performance clusters. And investigating the latest technology for HPC."
