About the Artist
Daniela Águila is a young artist, born in Havana 1999. Graduated by the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts and the University of the Arts of Cuba, Daniela Águila demonstrates an intense technical knowledge in painting.

Conceptually, her work intersects the issue of femininity with collective decolonial narratives, revealing an interplay of intensity between several lines: body, gender, landscape, symbols of popular culture and art history.

Daniela Águila is an artist on the rise and increasingly recognized outside of Cuba. This is demonstrated by her participation in international exhibitions promoted by the Colección Luciano Méndez Sánchez:
