Wineries Visit in Setubal Region By our Vintage Bus!

Join Lisbon Bus Tours for a delightful Winery tour in Setubal wine District, travelling on an amazing vintage bus!

We will visit two wineries:

Join us for an unforgettable visit at Bacalhôa Winery Museum and discover its history which brings together wine, nature and art.

"Out of Africa" is an exhibition dedicated to the Queen Ginga and three Landscape Wonders from Angola. "Forgotten Generation” dedicated to three artists marked by the Holocaust period. Portuguese Tiles from XVI to XX Century. Portuguese tiles from the 16th to the 20th century used exuberantly and unparalleled in any European country, the tiles, which proliferated for more than five centuries in Portugal, ended up becoming a genuine contribution to the cultural and artistic heritage of our country.
During the tour, take the opportunity to taste the wines and fully appreciate the pleasure which can be found in the degustation of wines.
From the tasting room, admire the tranquil scene of the Japanese garden, in which some of the works of the sculptor Niizuma are exhibited, along with a Kaki tree, the 'great-granddaughter' of the only tree to survive the Nagasaki bomb"

And then we will move to José Maria da Fonseca winery:

Built in the nineteenth century, the house was restored in 1923 by the Swiss architect, Ernesto Korrodi, and was the Soares Franco family residence until the 70’s decade of the XX century. With its particularly beautiful façade and gardens, it has always been associated with the image of José Maria da Fonseca.

The visit to the Museum House begins with a brief explanation of the company’s history, followed by a tour of the ancient wine cellars: Adega da Mata and Adega dos Teares Novos, where wines such as Periquita mature, and Adega dos Teares Velhos, where the oldest Setúbal Muscatels (Muscats or Moscateis) rest, some of which are true relics over 100 years old. At the end of the tour, the visitor can sample some of the wines produced by José Maria da Fonseca.

Payment can be done at the bus in cash or card ( EU cards only)
The price includes the winery entries and the wine tastings, and the bus trip!

We are expected to be back to Lisbon by 19h, traffic permitting.
