"Songs From A Room" (4th session)

Dear Book Rafters,

in this special Book Raft event at Bookshop Bivar we will talk about the relationship between music and literature: beautiful literary passages about music or songs inspired by literature (poems, novels, short stories).

Alternatively, you could bring song lyrics that, in your opinion, could stand alone as poetry. There are countless songs we consider poetic or, at least, poetic sounding. However, some of these songs, when stripped of their instrumentals, may loose some or all of their “poetic charm”. What songs do you feel, on paper, could pass for poetry?
