What you'll learn:

• How to use Meshtastic over the radio network so phones can swap text-style messages nearby, without Wi‑Fi or mobile data.
• What it is good for: Neighborhoods, events, trails, boats, rural pockets.
• It is NOT: A full replacement for emergency services or guaranteed delivery everywhere.
• How simple is it? Pair a small device with your phone; send a test message in the room.
• What you need: A phone, A LoRa Meshtastic device, powerbank and/or 6w solar panel, USB-C cable, and other people with radios in range to form a network.

You Should Come If:

• You know how to use a cell phone to install apps and connect to Wifi/Bluetooth.
• You want to have a way to message your community in the event of power, internet, and cellphone data network outages
• You want to have an alternate way to message that is not connected to the internet.
