Join us for a relaxed but in-depth visit to QUELUZ PALACE — one of Portugal’s most beautiful and historically important royal palaces, yet still surprisingly overlooked by most visitors.

This 3-hour experience has two parts: first, a guided visit through the palace itself, lasting around 1h30; then, a relaxed social lunch at A GÁLIA, a nearby local burger and “prego” spot with a local twist and a cozy outdoor atmosphere, perfect for continuing the conversation.

During the palace visit, we’ll explore the rise and decline of the Portuguese monarchy through the personalities, rituals and political intrigues that shaped court life at Queluz. From royal gossip and Brazilian connections to absolutism, architecture and the Napoleonic invasions, the goal is not simply to admire the palace, but to truly understand its importance within Portuguese history.

Although the experience is intentionally relaxed and conversational, the visit itself is the central focus of the event and will be guided by me, Caio, an officially licensed and certified tour guide in Portugal.

After the visit, we’ll walk together to A Gália for lunch and a more social continuation of the experience.

A few practical notes:

  • The event price only covers the guided cultural visit and hosting throughout the experience.

  • The palace entrance ticket is paid separately by each guest directly at the palace ticket office.

  • Lunch at A Gália is à la carte, so everyone can order what they like and pay individually.

  • I’ll later share A Gália’s menu translated into English, so you can plan ahead according to your food preferences or dietary restrictions.
