- Lumiar is one of Lisbon’s hidden gems, a quarter where history and authenticity blend beautifully. Away from tourist-packed streets, it has a unique and quiet charm, offering aristocratic manor houses, lush gardens, and a sense of rural periphery that lingers in its quiet corners. The neighborhood has medieval origins, enriched by Baroque churches, grand estates, ancient gardens and even an accessible Hindu Temple. Walking through Lumiar is an invitation to slow down and savor Lisbon lesser-known side, a real delight for those who appreciate originality and finesse. (check gallery below)

Walk Features
- A bit long (6 Km), but no steep climbs and done in smooth rhythm
- Not a circular walk, ending in a different spot from start (Carnide main square), so always offering different paths
- There is a stop for coffee/snacks and WCs
